Overview

Over the last week several sheds have been broken into in the rural villages and items stolen.

Residents are being encouraged to add extra security to their garden as the nights draw in by snapping up a low cost shed alarm. As winter approaches, it is easy to forget about garden tools such as lawn mowers, which you can now put away in your garden shed or outbuilding.

The Mid Sussex Community Safety Partnership and Sussex Police are keen to help residents protect their outdoor property and are giving local people the opportunity to purchase affordable shed alarms. Residents are being offered the chance to purchase shed alarms at a reduced rate of £7, which is £8 cheaper than the normal retail price of £15. This relatively inexpensive item will help residents to protect their belongings and keep crime levels low in the District. The discounted shed alarms are available to buy from Town Council Help Points in East Grinstead, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath.
